Analytics SIG

What is Analytics?

Analytics: the process of turning data into decisions, including but not limited to descriptive, diagnostics, predictive, and prescriptive techniques, and the use of artificial intelligence to inform decision-making.

About the Analytics SIG

The Analytics SIG is dedicated to the research of analytics from the operations research, operations management, and management science perspectives. The SIG also encompasses the study of the practical application of analytics techniques across diverse fields.

The SIG’s purpose is to:

  1. Promote the Society
  2. Advance the development of research and application of analytics
  3. Disseminate knowledge
  4. Increase the visibility of analytics in industry and academia
  5. Organize session track(s) at the annual CORS meeting
  6. Provide an opportunity for SIG members to interact and network
  7. Communicate to Analytics members and the broader CORS membership via print or electronic media

Events

The Analytics SIG will be hosting a virtual research session in early 2025. Stay tuned for more updates via email (make sure you are signed up to the Analytics SIG group to be included in the mailing list) as we get closer to the date.

If you are a CORS member and you are interested in joining the group, please fill out the "Join a Special Interest Group" section of this form.

If you are not a CORS member, you need to renew your CORS membership (see the application and renewal forms) and select the groups you're interested in.
